PECHIPARAI HYDEL ENERGY PRIVATE LIMITED

This is a mini hydro electric power project envisaged by M/s. Tamilnadu Electricity Board (TNEB) with a capacity of 2 x 650 kw, located in Pechiparai, Kanyakumari District.

This is a dam based power generating project.

This water reservoir / dam is irrigation intended, and is in use for well over hundred years.

This dam is under the control of Irrigation Department of PWD, Government of Tamilnadu.

The location of the dam is at a lower altitude of Sholayar (Papanasam) Hydro Electric Power Project of M/s. Tamilnadu Electricity Board (TNEB) and has a unique characteristic of collecting water from both the monsoons since it is in the beginnings of Western Ghats and is exposed to both the South-West and North-East winds.

Our Company has won this award of Mini Hydro Electric Project station through competitive bidding by M/s. Tamilnadu Electricity Board (TNEB).

This is a prestigious project in terms of manpower and logistics requirement and was a triumph to our company when this was awarded to us amidst heavy competition.
